Welcome! This is such an exciting time in my life and I'm so happy to share it with you.

Exhilarating stories have lived in my head for my entire life. As a child, all I had to do was close my eyes and the most amazing characters would appear. In fact, I spent so much time day-dreaming that my second grade teacher, Mrs. Arnold and my parents decided I needed to repeat the grade because I daydreamed my way through the year and never learned to read.

I assumed I would learn to read the same way I learned to ride a bike ... it would just happen. When the words 'THIRD GRADE' did not appear on my report card, I picked up a book and discovered a world I never knew existed. The following summer, I fell in love with Nancy Drew. I mean, how could I not? We shared a name. I began to read every book of mystery and suspense I could find.

One magical day in my teens, I discovered the works of Victoria Holt.  Her books were filled with romance, mystery, intrigue and always a happy ending. That was it - I was sold. Romance novels became my obsession.

Over the years, I found that a good romance story helped me get through some very rough patches.   That said, my imaginary stories still resided in my head.

When my two children left for college, one of my sisters challenged me to stop "talking" about writing and begin sharing my stories with others by moving them from my imagination onto my laptop. I wrote my first sentence, then the first paragraph and then kept on writing until I had more than ten pages of manuscript! I sent this first "draft" to my sister and asked her to read it. I didn't know what I was doing but a remarkable thing happened ... she actually demanded more of the story. Before I knew it, I was well on my way toward my first novel. Those ten pages cemented a path that I have enjoyed more than I ever could have imagined and perhaps should have been on for years.

In real life, I have found my hero. My husband and I have celebrated thirty-three years of marriage. I thank God every day for my happy ending and would give anything if everyone could enjoy the love, support, encouragement and passion I have personally experienced in my married life. What I hope for all my readers is that you discover that love is out there. It is never perfect, never easy, but happy-ever-after does exist.
